Children of the Egg stories
By C. L. Abron, written for David Mako
Stories taking place in David Mako's setting where humans in the modern day begin turning into dragons. But only some, and barely anything is known about the phenomenon. The books follow characters affected by these events and examine how it impacts their lives as they grasp what is happening to them and deal with the chaos it causes in the world.
The Days After
Emma and Liam were just ordinary children living with their parents in rural America. They'd go to school and play in the back yard, and looked forward to dad coming home each day.
But then after a strange broadcast takes over the airwaves, people across the world begin to change - Emma and Liam included. Yet their parents do not, and now this divided family must struggle to stay together and face the hardships ahead as the world changes, and their lives along with it.
Towards the Light
In the same general setting as The Days After, not everyone who begins transforming is fortunate enough to have a supportive family. Nicholas has been blind from birth and must now both come to understand how and why his body is changing, while also doing his best to protect his little sister Sophia as she undergoes changes of his own.
Yet his parents, who have seen him as little more than a liability in the past, now only see him as a potential way to make money. A blind teenager and a five-year-old girl can't hope to escape on their own, but perhaps if someone can come to their aid...
